The scene: A cold dreary and rainy London day. I am in my sweater, dress pants and green jacket.

My commute begins walking to Liverpool Street Station and getting on the platform to get on the tube, with 300 other people. There were people filling the platform, in most areas over 7 people deep. It was
the most full I've ever seen it and there were people on the stairs waiting also. The first train comes, fills up very quickly, then leaves. The next train comes and we get on, a bit concerned as we might miss our Train (like train versus Tube train).

We arrive at Farrigdon right about when our train normally leaves. It's okay though, it's delayed, by about 6 minutes. Somehow 3 trains are going to arrive within 2 minutes of each other, thoroughly puzzling me. We continue waiting and finally our train comes 12 minutes late.

Once on the train we relax. It's warm and now we just sit and wait until we get to our stop. Until they announce they will be stopping at 2/about 5 stations, ours not included. So we get off the next stop (closest to ours and in our zone) and plan to find a bus to take us to work.

So we find a bus that will get us nearer where we need to be and it should be arriving in 1 minute. Now 1 minute in the cold...annoying but bearable.... about 5 minutes later the bus comes. By this time I am freezing and cold, luckily in the bus thing so I'm not wet from the drizzling rain. We get on this bus which slowly gets us to a stop
that's useful. We got off at the useful stop and see which bus we can take from there. Oh wait we need to walk down the street to get the next bus. So we do then catch our next bus.

Finally we get to work at 10:32. We left at 8:30....


Once at work we worked in the board room all day and I mainly worked on the staff presentation, it's coming along nicely. We ended up leaving about 3:10, so we could try to catch the bus to Eastfields station. But the normal bus station we use was not having the normal buses picking up there, so we had to take a walk down the street, though we missed the train so we took the bus to Colliers Wood where we could take the Northern line back to the station. It was a very long day commuting.
