April 1, 2012

Today I got up and got some breakfast, before figuring out some stuff to do for the day. I ended up beginning my day by taking the Tube to St. Jame's Park and took a walk. I still haven't seen pelicans at St. Jame's Park, but it was a nice day out so I enjoyed taking my walk. Once through St. Jame's Park I walked to the corner of Hyde Park and walked along the Serpentine to the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. It was pretty cool and very calming. When I finished seeing that I went to South Kensington Station and head back to Nido for lunch.

After a salad for lunch, I head over to the National Portrait Gallery. I ended up going alone, but it was pretty fun. I spent a bunch of time looking at all the paintings and saw a lot of really cool ones. I found the Sunflower one by Van Gogh really pretty, and it was cool cause I got to see a bunch of famous artist's paintings such as Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, and I think a Michelangelo also, which was pretty good. Unfortunately photography is not allowed in the gallery, but it was good since rather than just taking pictures I could really focus on the painting.
