March 11, 2012 - London Day 2!

I started my first full day in London at 8:20 am. I got up and got ready for the day. At 9:30 the Commonside group met to go get Oyster cards and travelcards and everything. After a little trouble and confusion, we got what we needed and explored the tube. We went to the stop we will be catching the train at most days, took a walk to another station, and rode that line back. After getting back to Nido I had a nice lunch and then relaxed and got ready for our walking tour of Spitalfields.

The tour was okay, just not what I expected. I expected a helpful tour to help us get around the area, instead we got a lot of history, which was okay. After the tour several of us went to find a place a couple tube stops away which we thought was like Target. It was called Argos, and it was not like Target. The store wasn’t the type you think of where you walk in, find stuff, and buy it. You instead find it on their computer catalog and then they go get it for you, which I feel like isn’t very fun, lol. Though we decided it was like that because it uses space more efficiently.

After Argos we ventured back to the Tube and got to the Liverpool station. We then went to Tesco and I got some Tupperware containers so that I could bring salad to work. After getting back to Nido Ilea and I made a nice dinner of pasta and veggies. It was perfect after a day of exploring.
