The bus ride to Nido from Heathrow was both absolute fun and terrifying at the same time. It was a double decker bus with a flat front, and I sat top right, and I felt like I was going to hit something several times. This made for a very fun and incredibly terrifying experience as we drove through the streets of London, barely missing a few cards while stopping, probably killing a few cones, and doing a 3 point turn and it looking like we were about to hit the shop. After getting luggage and finding Nido, we checked in and eventually got up to our rooms. They were a little smaller than we expected, but not too bad.

Sadly I'm not zooming in...this was from our 3 point turn |
After finally getting into the room, I went downstairs to find people to eat with. After much confusion I went with a small group to find something fast, relatively inexpensive, and fairly filling.. subway. Not the best, and I did not like it nearly as much as American subways, but it got the job done and filled me up. While eating we met up with 3 more WPI students, and went to get phones. Luckily I knew what I wanted and where to get it so we went to a 3 store to get the various phones and sims people needed. After we found a Barclay’s Bank, associated with Bank of America, so we got some cash. We then found Tesco, a supermarket and I got some basic shopping done: Hand soap, dish soap, yogurt and sponges. This was I could wash my hands and my dishes and then have breakfast also.

The common area, our kitchen |
After returning to Nido I relaxed in my room a bit, unpacked, and sent emails. For dinner when dinner came along I went with 3 other girls for food, and we found The White Hart, where I had delicious fish and chips. The fish was huge and really good, and filling. Eventually I succumbed to my 36 hour day and went to sleep.
